Client Instructions & Care Policy

Pre-Procedure Instructions

Before Your Procedure
  • Do not consume alcohol or smoke for 72 hours before your procedure.
  • Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen) 1 week before (unless prescribed).
  • Eat a light meal before coming to the clinic.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that won’t disturb your scalp when removed.
  • Arrange for someone to drive you home if sedation is used.
  • Notify us if you are feeling unwell or experiencing any infection/fever prior to treatment.

Day of Procedure

On the Day of Surgery
  • Arrive at the clinic 15 minutes early.
  • Do not apply any hair products (gel, spray, oil).
  • Bring a buttoned or zip-up shirt to avoid pulling clothing over your head.
  • Stay relaxed — the procedure is performed under local anesthesia.

Post-Procedure Instructions

Aftercare Instructions
  • Avoid touching or scratching the graft area.
  • Do not wash your hair for the first 48 hours.
  • Sleep with your head elevated using two pillows for the first few nights.
  • Avoid heavy workouts, swimming, or sun exposure for 10–14 days.
  • Follow your prescribed medication and spray routine strictly.
  • Expect mild swelling or discomfort — this is normal.

  • Use only the products prescribed or recommended by your consultant.
  • If any allergic reactions or concerns arise, contact the clinic immediately.
  • Do not self-medicate or apply home remedies.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

  • A deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a fee.
  • Full payment is due on or before the treatment day.
  • Refunds are only issued in cases of documented medical emergencies or unavoidable clinic changes.

Post-Procedure Follow-Ups

Check-Ins After Surgery
  • First follow-up is typically scheduled 7–10 days post-procedure.
  • Monthly check-ins are advised for optimal tracking of progress.
  • You can book follow-ups via our online portal or by calling the clinic directly.

Legal & Consent

Consent & Liability
  • All clients must sign a medical consent form before the procedure.
  • Berkeley Hair Clinic is not liable for complications arising from failure to follow instructions.
  • Results may vary based on individual biology, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare.

Deanna has a background in pharmaceuticals, being a professional Pharmacist, having undertaken her Master of Pharmacy degree in Birmingham. This training brings her a deep understanding of scalp health, hair loss treatments and surgical restoration options, and this extensive knowledge and experience enables her to guide her patients through every step of their journey with confidence and medical understanding. Known for her detailed consultations and evidence based advice, Deanna combines medical insight with personalised patient centred care. She is dedicated to helping individuals make informed decisions and achieve natural, long lasting results in their hair restoration goals.
